Mimi's Cafe

Last weekend Zack and I decided to take a trip to Layton since the Kitchenaid I ordered didn't turn out to be the color I saw online. Sometimes pictures can be so deceiving. I picked the Pistachio color and it looked slightly more aqua so I thought it was pretty. Once I got the mixer it matched my kitchen. Now most people would think that is awesome but if you have ever seen my kitchen you would know better. We rent a house built & decorated in the 60's. The drapes & blinds (yes, colored blinds) are pistachio (didn't know the exact color til I got my Kitchenaid) and our oven is pink. I decided I didn't want to move one day and be reminded of that awful place, haha.

Anyway, getting back to the story, since we are already out we decided to go to Mimi's Cafe. We have had a GC from them for over a year so we decided to use it. It's such a cute little place, all decorated in French and New Orleans style. I was kind of disappointed with their appetizers so I was nervous for what my entree was going to taste like. Goodness, it was awesome! I ordered Roasted Chicken Crepes with a Green Salad. They were so good and creamy. I would go back there just for that in a heart beat!

Zack got the pot roast that you can see in the background. That stuff fell apart so nicely. Yum yum! Well, I am drooling now and I wouldn't want it to get all over my keyboard so until next time! ♥
