Hawaii | One

For some reason Zack and I can't get enough of Hawaii. After last years trip for our anniversary we couldn't stop thinking of it, so first chance we got we booked another trip! The night before we left, us 5, Keisha, Braydon, Shayla, Zack, and I, decided we would stay up all night since we had to be to the airport by 3. Oh boy was that a bad idea! The 5 hour flight from SFO to HNL was exhausting! I was past the point of no return so it made me not be able to sleep even more. Once we got there we had plans, oh so many plans, we went to Lulu's Bar and... then.... avoided all other plans and took a long siesta ;). It was well needed and did the job! The next day we started our itinerary, a day late of course, but in the end it turned out great!

Diamond Head Hike and gorgeous view of Honolulu. This hike has over 100 steep, concrete steps once you get to the top and boy did my thighs burn afterwards! I did need the exercise though and the view makes up for it. Also, you can see Keisha doing her "raptor" on the way back down. She was overly excited to be on a vacay!

Kualoa Ranch is so pretty. They give you views of the mountains and the ocean. This place is pretty cool. You have the choice of many things to do. We picked the movie tour, showing you all the places where awesome movies were filmed. King Kong's footprint is clearly huge, and I got to stand where Dr. Grant almost got trampled in Jurassic Park!

Here is the 2nd part of our Kualoa journey. We got to take a catamaran out into the ocean near Chinaman's Hat. I was holding on for my life, it got really bumpy and I kept screaming at Zack & Braydon to move back from the front. I'm a slight anxiety filled worry wart, but it's from pure love. I just didn't want them to die. ;)

La'ie Point has the most awesome back story, it's all about angry gods fighting giant lizards, pretty cool, right? Anyway, it's gorgeous! I of course stayed back from the ledge and kept behind the scenes. It's where I belong, hehe. This is also where Mila Kunis jumped off the cliff on Forgetting Sarah Marshall, the cliff is over to the right a little bit. I have pics of people jumping from it, Shayla tried but chickened out. I'll post a pic in Hawaii Numero Dos, check it out!

Oh, Pearl Harbor, I love you. We went here last year and we just had to take the other 3 here. This place is always memorable. It's a good place to visit any time you go to Oahu. You get to watch a video on the troubles between USA and Japan, and then get to take a free tour out to the Arizona Memorial. There is still oil leaking from this ship, it's a good place to reflect on everything you have and what you'd give for the people in your life.

The Honolulu Zoo is must, I know everyone knows what animals look like and it seems like a generic thing to do, but it's fun to just run around and stare at strange things. The flowers are one of my favorite parts of the zoo. So colorful and diverse!

More to come, peeps. I have random, stranded pictures floating around my pictures folder. So here they are..... Well, I mean, on the next post!
